I read an article about a new Mac Trojan horse today on CNET. Amazing how Apple was touting their OS and said it never got infected according to their commercials. I played a 3 on 3 tournament at ITC this weekend. It was so much fun! We played 2 games Saturday and I had a regular season game with the Blue Jackets. Then we played our final tournament game Sunday morning. I am super sore today but it was totally worth it.

I remember pulling into the parking lot at Richland college listening to Howard Stern on the car radio. I immediately turned around went back home as soon as I heard the first plane hit the tower. When I got home and turned on the TV I saw the second plane hit. It made me feel like joining the US armed forces and fighting for our country. God bless all those that lost their lives on September 11th and may we never let such tragedies happen in our country again.

The Dallas Cowboys are playing surprisingly well for having a bunch of nobody’s on the team. They are playing the New York Jets tonight and it’s a tie game in the fourth quarter. Tony Romo throws an interception and that sealed it for the Jets. Nick Folk kicks a 50 yard field goal and makes it with 30 seconds left in the game. The same player the Dallas Cowboys cut from the team, and of course that was the game winning field goal.

A very small earthquake was felt all across Dallas late Saturday night. I personally felt it and was wondering what it was but shrugged it off as high wind or something rattling my apartment building.

How long before computing power is greater than human brain power? It’s scary to think how realistic the movie Terminator could be in the future. Computing power has doubled every 2 years so how many more before it surpasses human intellect? Not too many more I would suspect. IBM is working on an AI computer named Watson that is already learning on it’s own. What if they become so smart that we are no longer the dominate species on the planet? What if they outsmart us? It makes me wonder how much technology is going to change in the next 10 years and how much of our daily lives will be dependent on these technologies. How much more will AI evolve in the next 10 years if the IBM Watson computer is already learning on it’s own? If it doubles every 2 years like the rest of technology, 10 years from now, computers will be smarter than we are. Crazy to think about.

Another win for the Blue Jackets tonight. I scored a goal and we won 4-1. Game Saturday too. Can’t wait!!

Stupid taxes. I wrote some articles for Train Signal Training as contract labor. The IRS wants me to pay 70% of what I made back to them. How does that work? Ugh.

I’ve almost got my pregame ritual down pat. Ate a huge sub sandwich at Quiznoes and had a pregame nap. This game should be much more difficult than last night. I’m ready.

We won 5-0 tonight. I had an assist and several good chances to score but just barely missed. It’s been so much fun playing on two teams. I have another game Saturday night in Richardson and I hope to win that game too.
